I had a very limited amount of time in DC, so the Trolley Tour was an excellent way to see the Highlights in a quick and reliable manner. The driver, Adam, was so fun and had lots of trivia and facts to share. I highly recommend!

We were in town for a week and knew we’d be dedicating at least a few days for sightseeing. The pricing was great especially since we got a deal of buy one day and get two free! The maps provided made it easy to plan your on foot excursions to where you could meet up with the trolley/bus again. The busses do have a few step ups so that the seating is graduated for better viewing but would make it a bit more difficult for anyone with mobility issues. The drivers are engaging, some more than others. Although they give you a sticker to wear to make it easier to be recognized getting in and off the bus, some drivers were very particular about also seeing your tickets upon each re-entry. I completely understand but it does hold up the line at times especially with folks who had tickets on electronic devices. Pulling them up is not always quick.

The tour was OK, the driver was very knowlegeable, and the expeditor of the tour was very RUDE. They need to hire people with manners, polite and good communication skills. Having in consideration that this is a tourist tour. Calling the company to let them know and explaining my case they didn't ask for any personal information, I am guessing that they really don't care

Such an easy way to see DC. Friendly drivers with an entertaining view on the history of the Capitol. Start from Union station to get a better idea of how the tour works. There is an information desk which can give you a map and answer your questions.

We purchased tickets for the Old Town Trolley Tours because they received good reviews and they said it stopped at our hotel. Their brochure said their first tour was at 9:05 in the morning but when we got outside our hotel the doormen advised us that it usually shows up around 10:15. Not wanting to wait that long we took a taxi. We asked the driver to take us to the Trolley’s Welcome Center. He had no idea where it was and asked for an address. Their brochure doesn’t have an address on it! We remembered hearing it stopped at the Union Station so asked him to drive us there. The Trolley has a representative there who told us the trolley would be there around 9am. We waited about an hour- no trolley. Upon asking him to contact the company he found out that the trolley would not be there until 10 am as they were having a training session and were starting late. What a waste of our time, and it would have been a great idea if the company had notified its employees. The rep. had not received any e mails or other info. about the delay. I am happy to say that once we started the tour it was terrific! Unfortunately at the end of the day we found out that their ‘Molly’ (a small van) that goes to the hotels wasn’t available until an hour and a half from the time we got to their Welcome Center (where you get the van), and once again we had to take a taxi to get to our hotel. The company should be up front about their time schedule for the van that goes to the hotels. The tour was terrific but the company needs to be work on its customer service.
