"Worst company and tour. DO NOT USE!"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5

My daughter attends college in DC. She asked if I would book her and two friends tickets for a hop on hop off night tour. Utilizing the internet, I chose this company’s tour. As stated on the website, the three girls got to Union Station 45 mins ahead of the 7:30pm tour time. No one was there. After many, many repeated attempts to reach the company by phone, another tour company said the bus left at 630pm. Furious I spent hours tracking down customer service. I finally got someone and explained the situation and asked for refund. Turns out bus company was bought by another and the website had not been updated. A few days later I got an email that the request for a refund was DENIED since the brochure stated 6:30 pm departure. I BOUGHT TICKETS ONLINE AND NEVER SAW THEIR BROCHURE! I was told in the email that we could use tickets for 1 year so I calmed down since my daughter is living in DC. So a month later she and her friends decide to try and go on the tour again. And guess what - another deception. The tour website states three stops. THE TOUR DID NOT STOP. I cannot believe how poorly run the company is. I cannot believe that we wasted our money on this tour. I cannot stress enough DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I have used a different company is DC before and regret not using them for their night tour.

What a great tour bus. The Tour Guides were great., informative, knew their history and Chris was super funny. We took the tour first to plan what sites we would go back to visit in person. The night tour was awesome. Worth the money!

Positive: sites were amazing, great to see lit up at night! Not so positive: tour guide Nick was very annoying “ladies n gentlemen” every other sentence and he had everyone turn around and stare at me because I was wearing sunglasses. I have severely dry eyes. Then he made a mockery of me again when we exited the bus saying “you’re just so fashionable”. Get some social skills if you want to be a tour director!

"BEWARE Citysights DC doesn't exist. Do NOT BUY."

They falsely advertise on groupon that you can purchase tours. They must be converted to BigBus which takes 5-8 minutes per ticket. If you have a big family like mine you've just waited over an hour only to br told that Big Bus will not honor what you've purchased. This is false advertising, and they need to stop taking peaples hard earned money. If i could give them a 0 I would!!!
